Bastrop, Texas

These are shots I took in Bastrop, Texas in a historical part of town turned into a shopping area. I loved walking through the dusty street among history and my imagination.

My Father's Place

This is my father, Pappy. I miss him so much.

My father loved birds and built dozens of birdhouses.

My father built this bridge.

My father's cat, Tom. What a face!

Some moss covered brick I found on his place.

I remember my dad working in this garage and I would play outside the door while he worked.

Stillwater, Oklahoma

These pictures were taken at a park in Stillwater, Oklahoma near Oklahoma State University. My youngest daughter, Carrie was in her graduate program there.

There was a beautiful serenity in the park

The gnarled trees added so much character to the park.

I am always thinking and I wondered how many people had walked up those steps.

There was a Magnolia tree there. I think the flowers are so beautiful.

This Magnolia blossom was reaching for the sun.

This squirrel was on a tree limb taking a bath and I caught it with its tongue out.

Bathing can be tiring and there is always time for a nap in the sun.

A duck with a broken wing. It didn't stop it. It swam all over the lake.

This goose was making its opinion heard.

There seemed to be a difference of opinion.

Nothing like sun bathing on a spring day.

Seabrook at Sunset

I took these photos in Seabrook, Texas. It was a beautiful evening with the sunset and all the sailboats docked in the marina.

Zoo Drawings

I took a trip to the zoo this week and took some pictures with my Android phone. I have an app that can turn the photos into drawings.

Carnival Cruise Ship ~ The Miracle

In February 2010 my husband and I took a cruise on Carnival's ship The Miracle. The decor was over the top. There was a whole section devoted to Alice in Wonderland and I really think whoever designed the decor for the ship must have been smoking the Caterpillar's hookah. With camera in hand I walked about the ship taking pictures. Here are some of what I captured.
